Carrie Underwoodis enjoying her Mom’s night out!
On Sunday, the singer, 36, made her first red-carpet appearance since welcoming her 10-week-old sonJacob Bryanwith husbandMike Fisher, attending the2019 ACM Awardsat the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Underwood stunned in a black and silver metallic gown with double thigh slits and Fisher wore a black suit.
Speaking to PEOPLE on the carpet, Underwood said her newborn son has been “so good here in Vegas.”
“Last night the air was getting to him so we were up for a while, but that’s life with a 2½-month-old,” she said. “He’s great. He’s a sweetie.”

Underwood, who is nominated for female vocalist of the year, also served as a performer. She will take the stage withMaddie & Taeand Mickey Guyton as well asThis Is UsstarChrissy Metzto perform the song"I’m Standing with You"from Metz’s upcoming feature-film debut,Breakthrough.
The ACMs are a special show for Underwood, who made herreturn to the stageat last year’s awards just five months aftershe broke her wrist during a fallon her front porch and suffered an injury to her face, which resulted inmore than 40 stitches.
Underwoodannounced the arrival of her newbornon Jan. 23, two days after his birth, with a social media post that read, “Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday … his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!”
The mother of two also shareda photo galleryof herself, Fisher and Isaiah with newborn Jacob.
“Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good … " she added.

“I’m going to be honest, ‘bouncing back’ after having Jacob has been much more difficult than after I had Isaiah and I’ve been pretty hard on myself lately,“she wrote on Instagram. “I go into the gym and I can’t run as fast or as far. I can’t lift as much weight or do as many reps as I could a year ago.”
TheAmerican Idolchampion continued candidly, “I just want to feel like myself again … for my body to feel the way that I know it can.”
“As I was working out today, I realized that for the past 11(ish) months,my body has not belonged to me,” Underwood continued. “It was a perfect home for Jacob. And even now it belongs to him every time he drinks his milk. As I prepare for red carpets and for life on tour, right now I make a promise to myself to start appreciating what my body CAN do and stop focusing on what it can’t.”
Underwood also made a vow to herself that she hopes inspires her fans and followers.
