NFL stars have a great track record for proposing with jaw-dropping engagement rings (just take a look atCiara’s from Russell WilsonorNicky Whelan’s from Kerry Rhodes!). And athlete Larry English is keeping the tradition going with an out-of-this-world blinding rock for his longtime girlfriend Nicole Williams. The best part? We have all the scoop on her $250,000 ring.
The NFL free agent popped the question on the season finale ofWAGSsurprising his now-fiancée with aRitanidiamond he spent a lot of time designing himself.
He met with the designer multiple times for months, tweaking the design of the ring each time before he eventually decided on a oval shape with a halo because “it gave the ring a romantic, vintage inspired look,” he says.
“This is the one thing that Nicole will wear every day for the rest of her life, so it has to be perfect,” English shares.
Which explains why he made sure every single part of the ring was perfect. “The brilliance of the stone is of most importance, I want to make sure it sparkles.”
So after all his hard work did Williams approve? She shared an up-close shot of her new bling thanking the designerwriting, “Thank you SO much@ritanifor helping Larry design the most beautiful ring my eyes have ever seen! ?”
And English is happy with his choices too. Captioning his Instagram of his bride-to-be, “looks good on u babe.?”
During the proposal English surprised Williams in Thailand (which nearly backfired!) telling Williams, “Hopefully from this point moving forward, we can get better, and I really felt like I had to come over here because you didn’t have nothin’ to wear on your left hand. So I felt I needed to come over here to bring you something to weigh your left hand down a little bit more.”
Williams gushed afterward in her confessional interview: “This is my fairy tale right now. I’m engaged to the man of my dreams.”
And we’d say she has the ring of her dreams too.
