All This Brand New Pop Culture Art Is Freaking Awesome

Residents of Los Angeles and San Francisco each have awesomepop polish artshows to shoot the breeze this weekend — but if you do n’t live on in those cities , io9 is bringing the shows to you , the right way here , right now .

Up the slide a bit , Spoke Art is opening a new show called “ Sugoi ! ” , and it ’s a tribute to Japanese liveliness . We ’re talking Dragon Ball Z , we ’re speak Studio Ghibli , Akira , Mobile Suit Gundam , you name it . It opens at 3 p.m. on July 9 and runs through July 30 at 816 Sutter Street , San Francisco . You ’ll find a selection of pieces from that show after the ones from “ 4×4 . ”
