Syrian freedom champion arrogate to have come up with a new and creative way of charging their cellular telephone earphone when they ’re thin out off the grid . It sounds too dependable to be true … and we think it is .
of late , The Atlanticreported on a very interesting consultation that appeared onPBS News Hour . Syrian activist and journalist , Omar Maquad , speak about how they MacGyvered a result for charging their cellphone phones when the armed services slue them off the power grid .
We used to — a glass of weewee with two battery , Duracell or something else . This already exists everywhere . We use it , keep the batteries in the water for one hour or 30 minute . Then you put the USB adaptor inside the water and start charge .

Really ? That sounded very fishy to me . So I ask an electrician friend of mine . He pronounce , “ No way . The voltage would be all wrong . ” I called my dad , who ’s a pretty savvy technologist . His answer : “ That sounds like bull . ” So I decided to test it out for myself and make a video .
As you could see , it very much did n’t bring . After shooting I also test the technique with salty water and with beefier 9V batteries . Nothing doing . I tested the water with a V metre and the most power I could get was a very discrepant 0.09 V , which is nowhere nigh enough to charge a cubicle phone .
So how to explain this ? I have four theory :

1 . They have radically unlike Duracells than we do .
2 . He was making it up so the government would n’t bother shutting off the superpower .
3 . He did n’t mention some important element to this prank .

4 . I suck at electricity .
