When the audience was handed 3D Methedrine as we walked into the last demonstration at CinemaCon 2025 , it could only mean one matter : we were going back to Pandora . And , trusted enough , Disney present the first footage ever fromAvatar : Fire and Ash , the third photographic film inJames Cameron ’s heroic fantasyfranchise .
Cameron was n’t there in person , but he put the presentation in the equal to hands of Neytiri herself , Zoe Saldaña . The footage lead off with the body of water kin , the Metkayina , as characters swim through some kind of wreckage ( maybe from the close of the last motion-picture show ? ) , followed by scenes of the Kyd like Lo’ak , Kiri , Tsireya hang about .
“ The strength of your ancestors is here , ” Tsireya tell to Lo’ak as she touches his thorax .
The Wind Traders show up , and all of the Metkayina are unrestrained . It ’s friendly . People are cheering , and some of the younger characters like Kiri and even Spider are riding with them . Cameron films these scenes with a tangible love for these people . These are basically fly pirate ship with canvas made up of almost translucent cloth . Members of the tribe skin out orders around the ship like you ’d see in an old sea rover movie but the ship just keep gliding along . This is passive . This is beautiful . This is squeamish .
The ship slowly swim through the batch with some other Na’vi , like Neytiri , riding alongside on her Ikran . Spider playfully swing his foundation off the side . Again , everything is still and calm . But not for long . Neytiri spots something find out them from the sky and scream for Jake . It ’s the Ash tribe and they have a much more menacing presence than the Na’vi the great unwashed we know , thanks in big part to the bright ruby-red state of war paint they wear and the sparks hail off the back of their Ikrans .
The Ash kindred swoop down and attacks our heroes in a massive midair battle . Jake fuel his hit man . Neytiri fires her bow and arrow . But the Ash tribe germinate arrow with attack , which start to burn down the Wind kin group ’s ship .
We see Jake on the face of it trek across Pandora by himself , walk by monumental volcanoes and eventually arriving at what looks like the gate of the Ash tribe with his hands in the breeze , giving himself up . He and Neytiri are having problems with Lo’ak and enjoin him , “ You ca n’t be in hate ! ” They hug him .
Tonowari , loss leader of the water tribe , say that they ca n’t shoot down enemies that come up from the stars . We then see the Ash tribe apparently teaming up with Quaritch and the rest of the human US Army .
Neytiri is in the infirmary and call for her child . A maraud is happening . There ’s a quick shot of the eye of a Tulkun . Things end with a monumental fight that ’s pass off on what looks like floating rocks . They seem to be in the centre of some kind of floating wreckage from a struggle that ’s still happening . Neytiri and the loss leader of the Ash federation of tribes , who we ’ve meet throughout the trailer , are struggle but Neytiri ’s snarls come up against her flame ceramicist character weapon . “ Your goddess has no territory here , ” the Ash fair sex says , confirming they do n’t believe in Ewa . And that ’s the end .
So you have the serenity of the Wind tribe , the kinetic Energy Department of the Ash kindred and in the centre , the water people , which now includes the Sully family . We have a feel not everyone is going to make it out alive .
