Manilow, 80, shared a video from the monumental show to social media on Sept. 23, and the venue was adorned with celebratory decorations. “Welcome to our record-breaking weekend,” he told the audience in the clip.

During the record-breaking concert, Manilow donned a red jacket from Presley’s 1977 tour with his signature “TCB” lightning bolt logo on the sleeve and performed covers of “Hound Dog,” “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and “If I Can Dream,” which he previously included on the 1990 albumLive on Broadway.

“It really is all about you guys,” he reportedly told fans at the show, per NPR. “You know I love all the awards and all, but I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. Thank you for coming tonight and through all the years.”

To honor Presley’s legacy, all of Manilow’s shows at the Westgate from Sept. 21-23 sawproceeds donated to the following charities: Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center, Manilow Music Project, Musicians on Call, Three Square, Victoria’s Voice and Youth Villages.

In a recent interview about the achievement withLas Vegas Review-Journal, Manilow spoke about how despite performing at the same venue, there aren’t many similarities between him and Presley’s performances.

“What he did was so far away from what I do that I really don’t even consider us in competition. He was an inventor of a style of music,” he told the outlet. “You’ve got to give him credit for that. And I was an inventor of my kind of music, with the big ballads and the big backbeats. That’s the only thing we have in common. I just admired his fame and his talent.”

Manilow has performed at the Westgate for 14 years, and he recentlyannounced a string of new datesfor 2024.
