The Blackbird Rider is a guitar made out of carbon fiber that was design using 3D CAD software . It ’s 2/3 the size of an average guitar but makes up for that by being empty throughout — even in its neck and promontory — making the entire guitar a good loge . The goal of this purpose was to get the auditory sensation of a big acoustical guitar in a smaller form factor that ’s easily portable .
More pic , info and pricing :
Notice the sound fix is next to the guitar ’s neck opening rather than underneath the strings . Then , there ’s another opening move called the stereo sound hole ( the caller calls this SSH , making it vocalise all scientific - similar ) on the guitar ’s foreland , in an attempt to maximize the resonance of this instrument .

There will be just 100 of these axes available , and pros take this C fiber jewel on level will certainly elicit the fear of any geeksters in the hearing . But this Blackbird is going to have to do a tidy sum of telling in the dead of night to make up for its $ 1599 terms ticket .
That price is not too sorry , though , consider that the gold - standard Martin D-28 guitar costs at least $ 500 more than that .
