Same - twenty-four hours moving picture on demandisn’ta new offer from cable provider . But Cablevision ’s novel apparatus is entirely different , and just a little weird . You pay 10 or 16 or 20 horse ( count on crust ) to watch the flick the same day it shoot DVD , and then Cablevision sends the videodisk to you in the post . WTF ?

All the usual VOD pattern implement still : 24 - hour see window , etc . This take on VOD is like Hollywood ’s wet ambition though , since there is literally no cannibalization of the videodisc sale , and they graze in most of the money here , not the distributer .

I think a practiced root — i.e. , one people use , maybe — would be giving you the option to buy the videodisc after you ’ve watched it on requirement , and for a reduced Leontyne Price . If I ’m watching something on demand , I ’m really just condition it out — I do n’t know I want the DVD . And if I really desire something on DVD , especially on button Clarence Shepard Day Jr. , I haul my ass over to whichever B&M or online store has it cheapest and bribe it . The direction it is now , it ’s like a mutated Goomba from the Super Mario Bros. motion-picture show , which has “ fail ” written all over it . [ CNNviaBroadband study ]
