For one understanding or another , the thought of alert - actionBarbiemovie coming to theatre of operations has seemed bewildering for quite some time . pass that no one really knew what the heck this Barbie movie was going to be , much less from the director of Little Women , its trailer is definitely eye - catch . It ’s a little weird , it ’s funny , and it ’s just shoot well and work much better than you ’d expect it to . And hey , now it makes you curious about what the respite of the marketing campaign for this thing ’s gon na be , specially when it gets to Super Bowl weekend and the Oscars .
Also starring Ryan Gosling , Issa Rae , Ncuti Gatwa , Will Ferrell , and Simu Liu , Barbie will release on theaters on July 21 , 2023 .
