When asked if he would ever play a superhero, the actor — who stars on the cover of GQ’s 28th annual Man of the Year issue — said in response, “Not particularly, no. Elordi admitted that he gets “restless” watching superhero films and that he would “like to make what I would watch.”

Elordi, who currently stars asElvis Presleyin the new filmPriscilla, shared that he has been called “pretentious” over his attention to the types of parts he plays, to his puzzlement.
“How is caring about your output pretentious?” the actor toldGQ. “But not caring, and knowingly feeding people s—, knowing that you’re making money off of people’s time, which is literally the most valuable thing that they have – how isthatthe cool thing?”
Elsewhere in the interview, Elodri spoke about how he felt taking on his latest role as Elvis oppositeCailee SpaenyasPriscilla Presley, a year afterAustin Butler’s Oscar-nominated portrayal of the music icon.
“It certainly crossed my mind briefly before I’d read the script. I don’t want to tell the same story over, especially because he did such a fine job of portraying this man,” Elordi toldGQ.
“It’s a completely different thing. And it’s terribly exciting, too, running into the fire a little bit. I can’t think of anything more exhilarating.”
