Joe ScarboroughandMika Brzezinskiare married!

TheMorning Joeco-hosts tied the knot in a secret ceremony at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, according toVanity Fair.

“We wanted it to be really small and simple and not what you expected from Mika and Joe,” Brzezinski, 51, told the publication. “Everything we do is exposed, and everything felt exposed every step of the way, so we want this to be private until it’s over. We wanted to recognize it more quietly and have the people who are most important to us around us. And you know, our show is a cocktail party every morning.”

The couple were keen on keeping the details of the ceremony under wraps. According toVanity Fair, Scarborough, 55, and Brzezinski “did not send out any formal invitations; they made about 14 phone calls to their family members and close friends, and none of the guests knew where the dinner was until Saturday evening.”

“We did an event there more than a year ago and we were just blown away, seeing all these documents and how we felt seeing them,” Brzezinski told the magazine. “It makes sense now more than ever, given what we stand for as a couple, what we do for a living, and what we’re worried about as a country.”

A source toldPage Sixthat Scarborough proposed during the couple’s vacation to France and Monaco in celebration of Brzezinski’s 50th birthday.

“Joe got down on one knee and proposed old-fashioned-style with a ring. Of course, Mika accepted. They came back from the trip on Cloud Nine,” the insider told the outlet. “There are no wedding plans as of yet, they are just telling their families the happy news.”

Another source told Page Six, “Mika turned 50 and realized she wanted to move forward with her life and spend every minute with Joe, and not just at work.”

Shortly after Brzezinksi and Scarborough announced their engagement, President Donald Trump — who would go on to personally attack theMorning Joehosts on Twitter — said the couple should get married at either Mar-a-Lago or the White House and evenoffered to marry them himself.

“The White House that I grew up in was an amazing place. If it weren’t Trump, it might be something to think about,” Brzezinski toldVanity Fairin 2017, explaining that they turned the offer down. (Brezezinski’s father is Zbigniew Brzezinski, a diplomat who worked for former presidents Lyndon B. Johnson and Jimmy Carter.) “The mental picture is just fascinating, but the reality is just . . . no. No, no, no, no, no.”
